Welcome to Radio Frimley Park

Studio 1 at Radio Frimley Park Welcome to Radio Frimley Park, the dedicated radio station for patients at the hospitals run by Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. We broadcast round the clock – 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to inform, educate and make the patients' stay in the hospital more enjoyable with regular quizzes, playing requests and of course some great music.

Radio Frimley Park welcomes visitors from Radio Wexham.

The charity has been operating since 1976 and continues to go from strength to strength. We are based at Frimley Park Hospital, but at the request of the Trust, we are now reaching out to two further sites - at the new Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot and also at Wexham Park Hospital in Slough.

VE Day - Special Programmes on Thursday 8 May

We’re marking VE Day with some special changes to our usual schedule on Thursday 8 May.

  • At 11am, we’ll be broadcasting a commemorative VE Day programme, replacing the usual request show.
  • At 2pm, we’ll be replaying John Sweetman’s VE Day Down Memory Lane, first aired on Tuesday.
  • And at 8pm, Terry Joy will be joined by Emma J for a special evening show.

Tune in throughout the day for music, memories and reflections marking this important anniversary.

The Brian Manby Award

Brian Manby Award This award is going to be presented annually in memory of a Volunteer from Radio Frimley Park. Brian sadly died in 2024 and we decided that we would like to make the following award. This being for the Volunteer of the Year at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.

This year the winner of the Brian Manby Award is Terry Field. Terry was nominated by Bob Lucas.

Here we see Chairman Malcolm Treen in Studio 1, presenting Terry with his M&S Voucher. A certificate will be on display in the Volunteers office at Frimley Park Hospital.
